Candy Hernandez
I am a makeup artist who loves makeup, and skincare. It's great to connect with others and help them see their beauty and confidence shine through.
Everyone should let themselves get pampered on Special occasions that are important to them, such as birthdays, events, weddings, or photoshoots.
I deliver soft, sultry looks with a hint of glamourous. The eye looks are subtle but have an alluring gaze that is inspired by French beauty. Classy, chic, elegant, and still looking like yourself. I am thorough when it comes to skincare and blending the complexion. This benefits me in getting to know everyone’s unique features and enhancing them.
Makeup was intriguing at a young age and my first inspiration was my mother who never wore complexion makeup but always had on a blue eyeliner or blue eyeshadow.
I started with eyes at age 16, engaged in a variety of colors, and different eyeliner from pencil to liquid. I started in the era of ABH eyebrows. Fun but blocky times haha.
From time to time I would do quinceanera glams during high school from family or friends who liked the way I did my makeup. During COVID-19, I was motivated and wanted to learn more. I then discovered that it’s not just a hobby but a career so I put in the work.
I’ve been doing makeup for 3 years and many more to come. In the beginning, I took classes from QC Academy online, practiced with friends, and invested in the material. I am a self-taught artist and learned color theory, undertones, anatomy, etc., with my passion for beauty and wanting to grow more. I have experience working for 1 year back in 2020 at Sephora and 2 years in 2022-early 2024 at Ulta. I started sharing my knowledge and recommendations with my colleagues and had fun makeup days for events or holidays that I hosted. I recently took courses from multiple makeup artists with “The Makeup Lovers IT.”
Although I learned from a variety of makeup artists, which has been educational and helpful, I have my own techniques and signature look.
